SENIOR IS PROGRAM MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION
 
We are seeking an experienced Senior IS Program Manager to lead complex, high-visibility strategic initiatives within a large healthcare environment.
 
This role is ideal for a seasoned program leader who thrives in fast-paced, matrixed organizations and has a proven track record delivering enterprise-scale programs, with specific focus on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and divestitures involving executive IS stakeholders, business leaders, clinical operational teams, and technology organizations.
 
The successful candidate will drive program governance, manage risks and dependencies, facilitate executive decision-making, and ensure successful delivery of strategic business outcomes.
 
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
 
You are an experienced enterprise program leader who combines strategic thinking with disciplined execution. You are comfortable operating at both the executive and delivery-team levels, navigating complex organizational dynamics, and driving results across large-scale programs.
 
You bring experience leading transformational initiatives, excel at building trusted relationships, and have a demonstrated ability to move complex programs forward in challenging environments.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Lead Strategic Programs

  • Lead complex enterprise initiatives from planning through operational transition.
  • Develop integrated program plans, governance structures, and delivery roadmaps.
  • Manage multiple projects, IS workstreams, vendors, and stakeholder groups.
  • Drive alignment across business, operational, clinical, and technology teams.
  • Ensure strategic objectives are translated into measurable outcomes.

Drive Governance & Executive Visibility

  • Establish and maintain effective program governance.
  • Facilitate steering committees, executive reviews, and leadership forums.
  • Deliver executive-ready status reports, dashboards, and decision materials.
  • Identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.

Partner Across the Organization

  • Build trusted relationships with executive sponsors, key stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration and decision-making.
  • Navigate ambiguity and competing priorities while maintaining momentum.
  • Influence outcomes across teams without direct authority.

Support Program Delivery

  • Support financial tracking, forecasting, resource planning, and portfolio reporting.
  • Monitor progress against milestones and strategic objectives.
  • Partner with leaders to remove barriers and accelerate execution.
  • Support organizational readiness and change management activities.

 
QUALIFICATIONS
 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of Information Services project and program management experience.
  • 5+ years leading large, complex enterprise programs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technology workstreams supporting Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures (MA&D), including due diligence, integration planning, separation planning, and cross-functional execution.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Experience partnering directly with senior leaders and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-workstream initiatives involving vendors, business teams, and technology organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of program governance, portfolio management, risk management, and organizational change management.
  • Proven ability to develop executive presentations, steering committee materials, and portfolio reporting.
  • Demonstrated success operating within highly matrixed organizations.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Copilot, SharePoint, and enterprise portfolio management tools.
  • Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and drive results with limited direction.

 
Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience supporting Construction & Facility Programs.
  • PMP, PgMP, Agile, or Lean certification.
  • Experience supporting one or more of the following:
    • Clinical technology implementations
    • Enterprise infrastructure programs
    • Technology modernization initiatives
    • Application consolidation or remediation efforts
