Position Summary
The Supply Chain & Stockroom Coordinator is a multi-function, full-time role designed to support day-to-day materials management. This person serves as the single point of contact for inbound receiving, transactional purchasing, and stockroom operations — ensuring the parts crib and moonshine shop have the right parts, in the right place, at the right time.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable working independently, thrives in a fast-paced production environment, and can switch fluidly between physical inventory work and computer-based data entry.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inbound Logistics
• Receive and inspect all inbound shipments against POs; verify quantities, part numbers, and condition
• Log receipts into the ERP/inventory system accurately and in a timely manner
• Coordinate with suppliers and freight carriers on delivery scheduling, discrepancies, and damage claims
• Stage and route materials to the appropriate location (stockroom, production floor, quarantine/MRB)
• Maintain a clean, organized receiving dock and staging area
Purchasing / PO Coordination
• Issue POs for MRO supplies, production consumables, and spare parts based on reorder points and production needs
• Follow up with vendors on open POs; track delivery commitments and escalate delays
• Obtain quotes from approved vendors; seek cost-effective options within lead time requirements
• Coordinate with the Operations Manager for non-standard or high-value purchases
• Maintain accurate PO records in the ERP system
Stockroom / Parts Room Management
• Issue parts and materials to production teams accurately and on time
• Maintain min/max inventory levels; initiate reorders before stock-outs occur
• Perform regular cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory against system records
• Organize and label stockroom locations; maintain a clean, safe, audit-ready environment
• Support kitting activities for planned production runs when required
General Operations Support
• Coordinate with production and engineering on parts shortages, substitutions, or urgent needs
• Identify and escalate supply chain risks proactively
• Support physical inventory counts at scheduled intervals
• Maintain compliance with site safety policies in all materials handling activities
Qualifications
Required
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing in one or more of: receiving clerk, stockroom/parts room, buyer/purchasing coordinator
• Proficiency with ERP/inventory management systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfortable on the production floor
• Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
• Experience in electronics, automation, or high-mix manufacturing
• Familiarity with Lean or 5S principles
• Forklift or pallet jack certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating delivery terms
