POSITION SUMMARY

A & Associates is seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a client in West Palm Beach, Florida.

The Construction Manager will provide leadership and oversight for construction operations, helping ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and according to established quality standards.

This position will coordinate with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and other construction professionals to support the successful execution of projects from planning through completion.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of construction operations, proven leadership ability, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate both field and administrative aspects of construction projects.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and coordinate construction activities throughout assigned projects.
  • Work closely with project managers and superintendents to maintain project schedules and operational priorities.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, schedules, and quality expectations.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and material requirements.
  • Review construction drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation.
  • Monitor construction schedules and identify potential delays or sequencing conflicts.
  • Assist with budgeting, cost control, purchasing, and project financial management.
  • Participate in project planning, coordination meetings, and progress reviews.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and assist with resolving performance or scheduling concerns.
  • Help identify and resolve construction issues before they negatively impact project delivery.
  • Promote and enforce established safety policies and jobsite requirements.
  • Ensure construction quality standards are consistently maintained.
  • Coordinate required inspections and assist with permitting and regulatory requirements as needed.
  • Maintain strong communication between field teams, office personnel, clients, and project stakeholders.
  • Support punch-list, project closeout, and turnover activities.
  • Assist leadership with resource planning and operational priorities.
  • Perform additional construction-management duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous construction management, project management, superintendent, or related leadership experience required.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, processes, sequencing, and field operations.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple construction trades.
  • Understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and safety.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and applicable construction-management software.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience managing multiple construction projects or complex project activities.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
  • Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar construction-management platforms.
  • Experience managing subcontractor performance, schedules, budgets, and project documentation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position requires regular interaction with active construction sites and project teams. Candidates should be comfortable working in both office and field environments and navigating active construction areas.


COMPENSATION

$75,000 – $100,000 annually

Compensation will be based on experience, construction background, leadership capabilities, and overall qualifications.
