Job Description
Retail Furniture & Appliance Store Manager
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced, motivated Retail Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy furniture and appliance store. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and leader who knows how to sell, motivate a team, build customer relationships, and manage a successful retail operation. A history in collections would be helpful.
As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales, developing associates, maintaining a great customer experience, and making sure the store operates efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of sales and store associates
- Drive monthly sales and profitability goals
- Create a positive, energetic, and customer-focused store environment
- Recruit, train, coach, and hold associates accountable for performance
- Assist customers with furniture, appliances, electronics, and other products
- Build strong relationships with customers and provide exceptional service
- Oversee daily store operations, including collections, opening/closing procedures
- Monitor inventory, merchandising, displays, and overall store appearance
- Handle customer questions, concerns, and service issues professionally
- Help ensure company policies and procedures are followed
- Organize daily activities and effectively manage your time and priorities
- Lead by example and work alongside your team to achieve successful results
Job Skills & Qualifications
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proven leadership and management abilities
- Retail sales experience preferred
- Furniture or appliance experience is a plus
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to organize your day and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to motivate associates and lead them toward successful outcomes
- Strong customer-service skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a good driving record
