About this job
Job Description
Regenerative Orthopedic Center (ROC) is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical team. This is a hands-on position working closely with an orthopedic provider and their care team to support patients throughout their clinic experience.
We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, comfortable in a fast-paced clinical environment, and committed to providing excellent patient care. Orthopedic experience is strongly preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate in orthopedic-specific skills, including casting, splinting, and bracing.
A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential is preferred, and a Limited X-Ray (LXMO) license is a plus, but neither is required for consideration.
What You'll Do
As a Medical Assistant at ROC, you will work directly with providers, PAs, nurses, and other members of the clinical team. Responsibilities include:
- Rooming patients and preparing them for their visit
- Obtaining and documenting patient histories and other clinical information
- Preparing exam and procedure rooms for patient care
- Assisting providers with in-office procedures
- Applying and removing casts, splints, braces, and other orthopedic devices
- Coordinating laboratory services and other clinical orders as directed
- Supporting patient education and follow-up instructions
- Preparing forms, correspondence, and other clinical documentation
- Cleaning, stocking, and maintaining exam and treatment rooms
- Helping keep clinic flow organized and efficient throughout the day
- Communicating professionally with patients, providers, and coworkers
- Performing other clinical support duties as needed
Don't have casting or splinting experience? We provide training in orthopedic-specific skills for the right candidate.
What We're Looking For
- Medical Assistant experience or relevant clinical training
- Orthopedic experience strongly preferred
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
- Oregon Limited X-Ray (LXMO) license is a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to prioritize and shift between tasks in a busy clinic
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, patient-focused approach to care
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a clinical team
- Comfort learning new systems, workflows, and clinical skills
Schedule & Location
This is a full-time, onsite position based primarily at our Tualatin clinic.
While Tualatin will be the primary work location, ROC operates multiple clinic locations, and employees may occasionally be asked to work at another ROC location to provide coverage or support clinic needs. Candidates should have reliable transportation and be comfortable with occasional travel between clinic locations.
Why Work at ROC?
At ROC, our Medical Assistants are an important part of the provider team—not simply an extra set of hands. You'll work closely with experienced orthopedic providers while developing specialized clinical skills and playing a direct role in the patient experience.
We value teamwork, accountability, professionalism, and employees who are willing to step in and help when the clinic needs it. For someone interested in orthopedics, this position offers the opportunity to build skills and experience in a specialty practice while working alongside a collaborative clinical team.
If you're looking for a position where you can build specialized orthopedic skills, work closely with providers, and contribute directly to patient care, we'd like to hear from you.
