Sr. Civil Structural Engineer

Pasadena, Tx: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to support industrial projects involving structural and foundation design, with a focus on petrochemical and heavy industrial applications.

Essential Duties:

• Prepare structural and foundation designs for industrial projects.
• Design heavy equipment foundations, pipe racks, pipe supports, access platforms, pump foundations, and vessel foundations.
• Manage cost and time constraints across multiple projects.
• Prepare and maintain safety and environmental aspects of projects.
• Execute structural designs using RISA products, calculation spreadsheets, Hilti PROFIS, AutoCAD, and CADWorx.
• Apply applicable industrial codes and standards, including ASCE, AISC, ACI, IBC, and PIP.
• Utilize laser scans as part of facility design when required.
• Collaborate with project teams to achieve project goals and maintain effective communication.

Requirements/Skills:

• 6–12 years of Civil/Structural engineering design and construction experience within the petrochemical industry.
• Previous EPC experience preferred.
• Current Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and structural engineering analysis/design software, including RISA products and Hilti PROFIS.
• Strong knowledge of ASCE, AISC, ACI, IBC, and PIP codes and standards.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish credibility and work effectively with others.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting cost and schedule requirements.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in an industrial/project environment and perform duties associated with engineering design and construction activities.
• Ability to comply with applicable safety, environmental, OSHA, and company requirements.
