L.C. Penner Company is a family-owned industrial supplier that has proudly served the food, dairy, beverage, and industrial industries since 1963. Built on integrity, hard work, and respect, we have earned the trust of customers throughout Southern California for more than 60 years.
We are looking for a dependable Part-Time Delivery Driver / Warehouse Associate to join our team.
This position is approximately 60% local deliveries and 40% warehouse operations. It is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys staying active, working independently, interacting with customers, and being part of a small team.
Candidates should be comfortable both driving company vehicles and performing hands-on warehouse work.
Responsibilities
- Make local deliveries using company cargo vans and flatbed trucks — no CDL required
- Drive company vehicles safely and responsibly
- Deliver products safely, accurately, and professionally to customer facilities
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers
- Use a smartphone/GPS for navigation and delivery routes
- Load and unload products safely and accurately
- Pull, stage, and verify customer orders
- Package, label, and prepare shipments
- Assist with palletizing and preparing freight for shipment
- Receive incoming inventory
- Assist with shipping, receiving, and general warehouse operations
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse
- Support other departments as needed to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Prior delivery, driving, warehouse, or similar hands-on work experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Honest, trustworthy, and detail-oriented
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
- Comfortable interacting with customers and representing the company professionally
- Comfortable driving company vehicles and navigating local delivery routes
- Basic ability to use a smartphone and GPS/navigation apps
- Forklift experience is a plus; training and certification can be provided
- Experience with palletizing, stretch-wrapping, shipping, or receiving is a plus
What We're Looking For
The right person is dependable, flexible, takes ownership of their work, follows instructions carefully, and can stay productive without constant supervision.
This position combines local driving with hands-on warehouse work, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable doing both. You don't need to be an expert in every aspect of warehouse operations — we're looking for someone who is willing to learn and contribute wherever needed.
Integrity, initiative, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are highly valued.
Compensation & Benefits
- $23.50–$24.50 per hour, depending on experience
- Part-time Monday–Friday schedule
- Paid time off (PTO)
- Local deliveries — employees return home every day
- No CDL required
- Forklift training and certification available
- Opportunity for additional hours when available
- Opportunity for advancement and long-term career growth
Potential for Advancement
This is primarily a delivery and warehouse position, but the right individual may have opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and grow with the company.
For someone who demonstrates strong customer service skills, initiative, professionalism, and a strong work ethic, there may be an opportunity in the future to advance into an Outside Sales Account Manager position. Advancement is not guaranteed and is not a requirement of this position.
