Pride Health is hiring a Clinical Laboratory Technologist to support our client's healthcare team in Shelton, CT.

Contract Length: 15 Week/s (Possible of extension)
Pay Rate: $30-40 based on experience   Job Description: Job Responsibilities:
• Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test result.
• Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
• Analyze specimens using approved testing procedures.
• Review and release test results.
• Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines.
• Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance.
• Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results, correct the problems encountered or immediately notify the senior technologist or supervisor.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree required, degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry strongly preferred
• Transcripts will be requested for review throughout consideration process
Work Experience:

• 1 year Clinical experience (high complexity testing) preferred
• Experience with LC-MS or ICP-MS strongly preferred

Physical and Mental Requirements:
• The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.
• Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.
• Frequent walking and/or standing.
• May be required to use a wide variety of manual and automated pipettes and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity. Additional Job Details: This role is in the flow cytometry department and requires flow experience. has potential for temp to hire
 
Weekly gross pay is based on a taxable hourly wage and daily lodging and meals & incidentals stipends based on USA GSA guidelines.
