Summary of work

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced pizza cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, excellent knife skills and a solid understanding of food safety standards. This role is to prepare high-quality pizzas and support overall kitchen operations to ensure a memorable dining experience for our guests. Previous experience in the food industry, especially in restaurants or fine dining restaurants, is highly valued.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of pizzas according to established recipes and quality standards

Help in planning the menu and selecting ingredients to ensure freshness and variety

Maintain cleaning and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage

Ensure compliance with food safety standards and appropriate sanitation practices

Operate the cooking equipment safely and efficiently during meal preparation

Support other kitchen staff with food preparation tasks as needed

Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management

Contribute to a positive team environment through collaboration with colleagues during busy service periods

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking and food service within a restaurant or dining environment

Strong knife skills and competence in meal preparation techniques

Knowledge of food safety standards and appropriate handling procedures

Experience with menu planning, catering and good food is a plus

Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control

Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours

Familiarity with the food industry, including cooking operations and food industry best practices

Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
