Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and RCIS certification for an acute care cardiac catheterization lab.
Details
- Acute care cardiac cath lab setting with 2 procedure beds
- Average caseload of 8 cases per day
- Procedures include all cardiac invasive cases (excluding structural heart) and peripheral interventions such as carotid, A/V grafts, EVAR, and peripheral diagnostics/interventions
- Uses Cerner EMR
- M-F 10-hour day shifts from 0700-1700
- Required call averaging 12 days per month, including at least one weekend (Friday 1730 to Monday 0700), with a 30-minute response time
- Rotating call coverage required for holidays
- No floating required
- Hospital provides scrubs
Requirements
- 2+ years of cath lab experience required
- BLS and RCIS certification required
- Scrub experience for PCI/STEMI cases required
- Must be able to scrub both cardiac and peripheral cases
- Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission; license required if applicable
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration, with legal name matching government-issued ID
- Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years worked, including employment dates and rehire eligibility
Additional Information
- Perform a range of cardiac invasive procedures and peripheral vascular diagnostics/interventions
- Floor-specific orientation typically consists of 1-2 shifts depending on skill level
- Charge nurse support available on unit
- 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available
- IV team support available
- Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and/or Dignity, within the past year; PRN employment through outside staffing firms will be considered
- First-time travelers may be considered for this position
