Position Summary:
Participate in the manufacturing of food products, assist in the implementation of process improvements and lead work teams in the efficient production of high quality product. Assist in training all new production employees. In the absence of a supervisor, direct all plant floor activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work as a team leader and communicate professionally. Assist with training new production workers. Cross-train in all production work areas to cover production demands.
- Lead team by setting an example for production team to follow. Head up product runs, and monitor them to produce a quality product while striving for continuous improvement of operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Perform duties within quality control and safety guidelines. Follow safety rules, including reporting observed safety issues appropriately. Assist with product improvement and development.
- Accurately complete and audit process paperwork. Check blend sheets to lot numbers, sample bags and container labels. Initial blend sheets according to instructions as product moves through work area. Reconcile inventory by unit, accurately reduce and receive inventories and enter correct data on computer.
- Serve as an example of working in a safe manner and ensure crew follows all safety rules and initiatives.
- Maintain food safety culture in regards to food defense, quality and cGMPs for production and warehousing of products.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent knowledge
- Two or more years of related experience and/or training
- Forklift certification (can obtain after employment but previous experience is preferred)
Knowledge and Skills
- Basic mathematical skills - ability to accurately add, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Ability to compute units of time and weight measurement and volume.
- Computer and accurate data entry skills.
- Skilled operation of stand-up and sit-down forklifts preferred
Compensation details: 26-29 Hourly Wage
