Job Description

Title: Assembler

Location: Acton, MA 01720

Duration: 05+ months (with possible extension).

Shift: 1st shift - 7am-3:30pm with overtime

Pay: $21.00/hr.

Job Summary:

·       Assembles fabricated parts at floor stations and performs testing and calibration of parts and mechanisms to ensure they meet required tolerances and product specifications.

·       Uses hand and power tools to assemble units according to established procedures.

·       Identifies components that fail testing or tolerance requirements and performs repairs as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Assemble and test components and finished products in accordance with engineering and product specifications.

·       Inspect products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

·       Identify, troubleshoot, and repair units that do not meet tolerance or testing requirements.

·       Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

·       Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.

·       Accurately document production activity and maintain required records.

Qualifications:

·       High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

·       May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in the assigned specialty area.

·       Typically requires 2–4 years of experience in the field or a related area.

·       Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field.

·       Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines.

·       Works under immediate supervision with limited need for independent judgment.

·       Reports to a supervisor or manager.
