Diesel / Heavy Equipment Mechanic - 77064 Area

We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team in the 77064 area. This position plays a vital role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of construction and heavy-duty equipment used in site development and utility projects.

The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and takes pride in ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and reliably.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a diesel and/or heavy equipment mechanic (construction industry preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
• Must own a complete set of mechanic’s tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Reliable and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines and hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain and repair heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, and dump trucks.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and accurately document all repairs and services performed.
• Troubleshoot and determine proper repair procedures using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
• Inspect, adjust, and replace components including brakes, transmissions, fuel systems, and electrical wiring.
• Ensure all work meets company and safety standards.
