Experienced Structural Welders Needed in Houston, TX!

Job Summary:
An Energy company in Houston, TX is seeking experienced Structural Welders to perform weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations in a manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable reading blueprints and weld symbols and have experience working with structural steel and welding equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform structural welding, weld preparation, and finishing.
• Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and weld symbols.
• Set up welding equipment and adjust amps, volts, and other parameters.
• Select appropriate wire/filler materials for different steel alloys.
• Use conventional and precision measuring tools.
• Perform weld inspections and complete required documentation.
• Maintain welding equipment and a clean, organized work area.
• Perform finish grinding using manual and power tools.
• Follow OSHA, PPE, and company safety requirements.
• Climb ladders as needed and work safely in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements:

• Previous structural welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Ability to read and understand weld symbols.
• Knowledge of welding processes, equipment setup, and parameters.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Manufacturing/fabrication experience preferred.
• Ability to work safely in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Steel-toe boots and safety glasses required; company provides hard hat.

Pay: $25–$30/hr., DOE
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Full-time; shift may vary
