Job Summary
X-ray Technologist Location: Not specified. This position involves operating radiologic equipment to produce diagnostic images as ordered by physicians. The role requires positioning patients, adjusting equipment settings, and ensuring safety protocols are followed to deliver high-quality radiographs.
Job Details
- Position Description: Operates x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated portions of body as ordered by physicians. Positions and instructs patients prior to examination, adjusts the x-ray equipment, and determines proper voltage as well as current and desired exposure time for each radiograph.
- Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in radiologic technology; ARRT-R certification; Radiologic Tech license in CA or HI; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor; Fluoroscopy license in CA within 6 months of hire.
- Schedule: Rotating shift with start times between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM, 8 hours per shift, minimum 40 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Performs screening procedures, explains procedures to patients, prepares equipment and examination rooms, positions patients, monitors patient safety, produces and documents diagnostic images, and reports relevant findings to physicians. Ensures all required vaccinations are received, participates in E-Verify, and performs other duties as assigned.
