Mechanical Designer

Spectra Tech, Inc. is hiring several Mechanical Designers in Richland, WA.

Position Overview

The Mechanical Designer/Drafter will provide design and drafting support, including development and revision of 3D models, drawings, piping layouts, and related engineering design documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models.
• Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).
• Develop frame, piping, and component detail drawings.
• Perform drawing revisions based on review comments.
• Support development of electrical drawings and P&IDs.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of SolidWorks experience, including:
  • Large assemblies
  • Weldments
  • Routed piping
• Experience developing fabrication drawings to ASME Y14.5 (GD&T).
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with skid/process piping design.
• Experience with nuclear-quality drawing and document control.
