Looking for Mold Machine Operator jobs in Putnam where dependable work keeps production moving? This opportunity lets you operate manufacturing equipment, monitor product quality, and help produce consistent results in a safe, fast-paced production environment.
Work from job orders, work folders, and verbal and/or written work instructions. Tend machine and maintain machine cycle as specified. Monitor production, detect quality problems and solicit assistance in adjustments to machine, as required. Remove parts from machine. De-gate part from runner system by hand or fixture. Use knives, cutting pliers, drills or deburring tools to trim flash or high gates as required.
Visually inspect molded parts at intervals specified in work folder. Use micrometers, verniers, go-no-go gauges, and other measuring tools to ensure products meet all requirements and specifications. Segregate and label non-conforming product. Document quality findings and /or complete non-conformance reports as specified.

Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, blueprints, product specifications, work instructions, and production documentation.
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to accurately complete production reports, inspection documentation, and manufacturing records.
Experience Requirements
- Previous manufacturing, machine operation, molding, assembly, or production experience preferred.
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, vernier gauges, and go/no-go gauges.
- Experience performing visual inspections and maintaining quality standards in a production environment.
- On-the-job training provided; proficiency typically achieved within 3 to 12 months.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and non-conforming products.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to safely operate production equipment and hand tools.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Ability to follow established procedures, maintain production schedules, and support continuous improvement efforts.
- Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Capabilities
- Ability to stand and remain at an assigned machine for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to frequently lift and move materials weighing 5-25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds.
- Strong hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, color recognition, depth perception, and close visual attention.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, odors, and other industrial conditions.
Job Duties
- Operate and monitor molding machines to maintain production cycles and ensure consistent product quality.
- Remove molded parts, trim excess material, perform deburring operations, and complete assigned secondary production tasks.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools to verify products meet quality and specification requirements.
- Package, label, count, and move finished products while maintaining accurate production, quality, and inventory records.
- Identify defects, segregate non-conforming materials, report equipment or production issues, and support corrective actions.
- Operate hand tools and secondary equipment as needed to complete drilling, machining, assembly, finishing, or related manufacturing processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all company safety, quality, and production procedures.
