As a Group Leader within Steelcase's Product Development organization, you will lead a talented global Product Graphics team responsible for creating assembly instructions and other critical product information that supports our customers and product experiences. Partnering closely with colleagues across locations, including Grand Rapids and Cluj.

Supporting Meaningful Work

  • Lead and develop a team responsible for creating and releasing assembly instructions, disassembly instructions, installation guides, product law documentation, compliance content, and safety labels that support successful product launches and customer experiences.

  • Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for the Product Graphics organization, establishing priorities, allocating resources, and ensuring high-quality execution across a diverse portfolio of product development and product support work.

  • Champion the evolution of Product Graphics from traditional 2D deliverables to 3D-based solutions, leading the organizational change, capability development, and adoption efforts necessary for long-term success.

  • Build capability and consistency across a global team by establishing standards, best practices, and effective collaboration across locations and disciplines.

  • Drive continuous improvement in documentation, release, and quality processes to improve accuracy, speed, scalability, and the overall customer experience.

  • Partner closely with Product Engineering, Industrial Design, Manufacturing, Marketing, Packaging, and other cross-functional teams to ensure product information is accurate, compliant, and aligned with customer and business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least three years of formal people leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated experience leading teams through organizational, process, or technology transformation.

  • Experience driving adoption of new tools, workflows, systems, or ways of working.

  • Strong communication, change management, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Experience influencing cross-functional partners and driving alignment across an organization.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience leading global or geographically distributed teams.

  • Familiarity with product development, engineering, technical documentation, product graphics, or manufacturing environments.

  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D product visualization, illustration, graphics, or CAD-related tools.

  • Experience establishing consistent standards and scalable processes across teams or locations.

  • Guide the review and release of technical documentation and product communication assets to ensure compliance with company standards, legal requirements, and launch expectations.

  • Anticipate and address the challenges associated with increasing product complexity by developing scalable processes, tools, and team capabilities that enable efficient delivery.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning through coaching, feedback, performance management, and talent development.

  • Build strong relationships across functions and geographies to align priorities, remove barriers, and enable successful execution.

  • As organizational needs evolve, provide leadership to product engineering resources supporting product development activities from concept through launch.
