Looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students? Experienced paraprofessionals are needed for contract roles supporting schools in the scenic Mt. Shasta region of Siskiyou County. With a 30-hour workweek and a collaborative environment, you’ll provide essential classroom assistance and foster an inclusive learning atmosphere for young learners.
Your role will include working alongside educators, assisting with student engagement, and supporting a diverse range of educational needs. You’ll become a vital part of the educational support team, helping teachers implement individualized lesson plans, guiding small groups, and offering encouragement so every student can thrive.
Desired Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience as a paraprofessional in a K-12 school setting
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt to different learning styles and provide positive classroom support
- Patience and compassion working with students with varying abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant postsecondary coursework a plus
Responsibilities:
- Assist with classroom management and lesson implementation under teacher supervision
- Support individual students and small groups with day-to-day activities
- Help monitor progress and reinforce learning objectives
- Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to meet educational goals
