Special Education Teacher in Hayward, CA

Desired Qualifications:

• Active California credential in Moderate/Severe Special Education (required)
• Experience in ESN (mod/severe) classrooms strongly preferred
• Demonstrated ability to adapt curriculum and deliver differentiated instruction
• Skilled in collaboration with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and families
• Strong organizational and communication abilities
• Clear background check and up-to-date TB screening

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to moderate/severe student needs
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Foster an inclusive, nurturing environment that supports social, emotional, and academic growth
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers and support staff
• Engage in ongoing assessment, data collection, and reporting
• Communicate progress regularly to families and advocate for students’ unique needs
