Job Title: Metal Finisher ($25-40/hr)

Job Description

As a Metal Finisher, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and polished appearance of stainless steel parts. You will take welded stainless steel components and meticulously grind the welds to achieve a flawless finish. Your keen attention to detail will help identify and correct any defects or imperfections. You will also buff the exterior of the stainless steel to attain a mirror-like shine, using a straight liner to edge the sheet metal.

Responsibilities

• Grind out welds on stainless steel parts to achieve a smooth finish.
• Inspect for defects and imperfections in welds.
• Buff the exterior of stainless steel to a mirror finish.
• Use a straight liner to edge sheet metal.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in metal finishing or grinding.
• Mechanical inclination, potentially gained from construction, lube tech, or manufacturing.
• Desire to work in grinding and metal finishing.
• Attention to detail, with potential experience using measuring equipment like micrometers and calipers (not required).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Open to repetitive production work, standing for most of the shift, and handling a grinder.
• Willingness to learn and be trained in fabrication processes.

This is a Permanent position based out of Champlin, MN.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
