Special Education Teacher - Warrenton, Virginia

Qualifications:

• Current Virginia Special Education - General Curriculum Teaching Certification required
• Experience working with elementary-age students (grades 3-5) preferred
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Dedication to inclusive and differentiated instruction
• Adaptable approach to individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Ability to collaborate with other teachers, families, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to meet each student’s needs
• Modify curriculum to support diverse learners
• Maintain accurate educational records and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal-setting
• Work closely with families and multidisciplinary staff to deliver a holistic educational experience
• Provide positive behavior reinforcement and classroom support

This position starts as soon as possible and runs through the end of the school year, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week (Monday through Friday).
