Associate Attorney

Location: Rockville, MD

Compensation: $110,000-$150,000 per year

We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join a growing family law practice. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent legal writing and courtroom skills, and the ability to effectively manage complex and emotionally sensitive family law matters.

• Manage a full caseload of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, protective orders, and related matters.

• Represent clients in court and handle litigation proceedings.

• Draft pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.

• Conduct thorough legal research and factual analysis to develop effective case strategies.

• Counsel and communicate with clients clearly and professionally.

• Manage case deadlines, court appearances, and other litigation requirements.

• Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to effectively serve clients.

• Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

• Active license to practice law in Maryland required.

• 2+ years of litigation experience, preferably in family law.

• Family law experience strongly preferred.

• Strong courtroom advocacy and litigation skills.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and communication abilities.

• Ability to analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop effective strategies.

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to remain professional, composed, and effective when handling high-pressure and emotionally sensitive matters.

• Strong client-management and interpersonal skills.

• DC and/or Virginia bar admission is a plus.
