Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Education Teacher licensure
• Experience teaching students with significant support needs, preferably in an elementary environment
• Proven skill at adapting and delivering instruction based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Familiarity with implementing behavioral and academic interventions
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
• Comfort working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging, individualized instruction to a caseload of 10-12 elementary students with significant support needs in a self-contained setting
• Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
• Collaborate with families, therapists, support staff, and administration to ensure student growth
• Use data to inform instructional decisions, modify strategies, and guide student success
• Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment focused on student empowerment and encouragement

This role features a consistent Tuesday through Friday schedule (7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, 34 hours per week), allowing for a long weekend every week during the contract dates spanning late October to early June.
