Special Education Teacher in Fremont, CA

A fantastic opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher with expertise in moderate to severe needs (ESN), ready to make an impactful difference in students' lives. This contract position is available for the 2026-2027 school year, with a full-time schedule and immediate interview availability for a swift backfill. Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students with moderate to severe disabilities, utilizing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including other SPED teachers, paraeducators, therapists, and school administrators
• Develop and implement engaging learning activities tailored to varying abilities
• Track and report student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet specific needs and learning styles
• Foster a safe and positive classroom environment promoting inclusion and student growth

Required Qualifications:

• Active California credential in moderate/severe special education (MUST be current and valid)
• Previous experience working with elementary school students with moderate/severe disabilities (ESN)
• Familiarity with developing, adapting, and implementing IEPs
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
