This full-time position spans the academic year from August 13, 2026, to June 8, 2027, and takes place in a school environment near Milpitas, CA. What you’ll bring:
- Current and active California Moderate/Severe Special Education teaching credential (required)
- Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities
- Ability to design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Previous school-based experience preferred, but motivated professionals are encouraged to apply
Your role will include:
- Managing a full-time caseload of three Extended Special Needs (ESN) classrooms, with further details forthcoming
- Creating, monitoring, and revising IEPs, ensuring compliance and responsiveness to student needs
- Adapting curriculum and instructional methods for accessibility and differentiation
- Collaborating closely with general education staff, therapists, paraeducators, and administration
- Providing direct instruction, behavioral interventions, and developmental support in a positive setting
- Engaging regularly with parents or guardians to communicate progress and advocate for student needs
