Classroom Aide | Montague, California

Make a meaningful impact working as a Paraprofessional in the beautiful Mt. Shasta area. This contract position offers the opportunity to support students’ educational journeys with the Siskiyou County Office of Education, providing essential assistance in a school environment. With a steady schedule of 30 hours per week, you’ll help create a positive and enriching atmosphere for learning. We are seeking two committed professionals for this role.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar supportive educational setting
• Ability to build rapport with students, teachers, and staff
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Patient, compassionate, and flexible approach to working with children
• Knowledge of supporting students with diverse backgrounds and needs
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to assist lead teachers as required

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom and one-on-one support to students
• Assist teachers in instruction, lesson preparation, and classroom management
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment
• Help students with assignments, reinforcing lessons and providing additional encouragement
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, and recess
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff
• Contribute to a team committed to student development and academic success
