This role requires prior hands-on experience controlling robotic arms or similar systems through wearable teleoperations equipment, motion-tracking technology, or specialized control interfaces.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both robotics hardware and software, following detailed procedures, troubleshooting basic issues, and documenting robot performance.
Responsibilities:
• Operate robotic arms and similar systems through teleoperations software and equipment.
• Wear and use motion-controlled, motion-capture, VR, exoskeleton-style, or other teleoperation equipment to guide robot movements.
• Execute assigned movements, manipulation tasks, and testing scenarios accurately and consistently.
• Set up, test, calibrate, and validate teleoperation equipment before each session.
• Monitor robot performance and identify hardware, software, sensor, calibration, or connectivity issues.
• Perform first-line troubleshooting and escalate complex problems to engineering.
• Follow established SOPs, safety requirements, and data collection procedures.
• Collect and review robot demonstration data for quality and completeness.
• Document system errors, robot behavior, test results, and operational issues.
• Reproduce reported issues to support engineering investigations.
• Support equipment updates, routine maintenance, and basic component replacements.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and operations teams to improve robot performance and teleoperation workflows.
Required Skills & Experience
• 1+ year of hands-on teleoperations experience operating robotic arms or similar robotic systems.
• Experience using wearable teleoperation equipment, motion-capture systems, VR interfaces, exoskeleton-style controls, haptic devices, or specialized controllers.
• Experience operating both physical robotic hardware and the associated teleoperations software.
• Ability to perform structured, repetitive robot movements while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
• Experience identifying and troubleshooting basic hardware, software, sensor, calibration, or connectivity issues.
• Ability to follow detailed SOPs, test procedures, and safety requirements.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to escalate issues effectively to engineering and operations teams.
• Comfortable working onsite and interacting directly with robotic equipment.
