Job Description
The Material Handler supports daily shipping, receiving, and inventory operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role focuses on accurately receiving orders, staging products according to standard operating procedures, and processing shipments using FedEx and UPS systems. The position works closely with shippers, receivers, packers, and other material handlers to ensure efficient and accurate movement of goods based on customer needs.
Responsibilities- Receive incoming orders accurately and verify that all materials match documentation and requirements.
- Stage products according to established standard operating procedures to ensure efficient workflow and order accuracy.
- Prepare outbound shipments using FedEx and UPS software, including generating labels and required documentation.
- Operate pallet handling equipment and sit-down forklifts to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently.
- Perform material handling tasks such as picking, packing, and organizing inventory in designated storage areas.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by completing data entry in systems such as SAP and other warehouse software.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with inventory control to maintain accurate stock levels and records.
- Collaborate with shippers, receivers, packers, and other team members to meet daily operational and customer requirements.
- Assist with general labor tasks in the warehouse as needed, based on changing customer and operational needs.
- Follow all standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and company policies while handling materials and operating equipment.
- At least 2 years of experience working with FedEx shipping systems.
- At least 2 years of experience working with UPS shipping systems.
- Proficiency using a computer for daily tasks, including data entry and system navigation.
- Experience using FedEx and UPS software to create shipping labels and process shipments.
- Hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, and material handling activities.
- Ability to perform accurate data entry for inventory, shipping, and receiving records.
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures for receiving and staging products.
- Experience using SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for inventory and logistics is highly beneficial.
- Experience with pallet handling and palletizing materials.
- Background in inventory control, including conducting cycle counts.
- Experience in packing, general labor, and warehouse support functions.
- International shipping experience is a strong plus, though not required.
- Ability to work collaboratively with shippers, receivers, packers, and other material handlers.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a warehouse environment within a larger industrial facility. You will work closely with shippers, receivers, packers, and other material handlers in an operational setting that relies on coordination and communication. The position follows a Tuesday through Saturday schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. You will use technologies such as SAP, FedEx and UPS shipping software, and computer-based data entry tools, as well as material handling equipment including sit-down forklifts and pallet handling tools. The environment involves typical warehouse conditions, including movement of materials, operation of forklifts, and adherence to safety procedures and standard operating guidelines.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.41 - $23.41/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
