As a vital member of the school's Special Education team, you’ll work with a manageable caseload of 10-12 students. This position offers stability through the end of the school year, with two current openings and a dedicated support system in place.

Qualifications:

• Must hold an active Virginia Special Education - General Curriculum Teaching Certification
• Previous experience teaching and case-managing students with diverse learning needs, preferably in elementary grades (3rd-5th)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Enthusiastic, compassionate, and adaptable to different learning styles

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s unique abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service personnel to foster inclusive learning
• Provide direct instruction, support, and accommodations to encourage student growth and classroom participation
• Track and document student progress, making timely adjustments to plans
• Engage regularly with families and guardians to ensure open communication and student success
• Create a safe, supportive, and positive classroom environment
