Our client, a leading government contractor supporting defense and federal programs, is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator to join its Procurement organization on a Contract basis. This role will support the full lifecycle administration of subcontracts, from solicitation and proposal evaluation through negotiation, award, administration, modification, and closeout. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail oriented with experience supporting government subcontracting activities who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment alongside contracts, pricing, finance, and program teams.
Key Responsibilities Administer subcontracts throughout the entire lifecycle, including solicitation, award, modifications, performance management, and closeout. Review prime contract requirements and ensure proper flow-down of FAR, DFARS, and customer-specific clauses. Develop and issue subcontract solicitation packages and evaluate subcontractor proposals. Perform price and cost analysis to support subcontract awards and ensure price reasonableness. Negotiate subcontract terms, conditions, pricing, and modifications. Support proposal efforts by developing subcontracting strategies and pricing solutions. Process subcontract awards, task orders, delivery orders, and contract modifications. Serve as the primary point of contact for subcontractors throughout the pre-award and post-award process. Monitor subcontractor compliance, deliverables, funding, invoicing, and reporting requirements. Maintain complete and auditable subcontract files in accordance with company policies and government requirements. Support subcontract closeouts, final invoicing, records retention, and release documentation. Collaborate with Program Management, Contracts, Finance, Pricing, and Executive Leadership to support successful project execution.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Contracts, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 3+ years of experience in subcontract administration, procurement, supply chain, or government contracting. Experience supporting federal government, defense, aerospace, or national security programs. Experience administering subcontracts, task orders, delivery orders, and contract modifications. Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and subcontract flow-down requirements. Experience evaluating vendor proposals and conducting price analysis. Strong negotiation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
