Special Education Teacher in Bristow, VA

Make a meaningful impact supporting 3rd–5th grade students in a dynamic school environment near Bristow, VA. Two contract opportunities are available for passionate Special Education Teachers who are ready to start as soon as possible and work through the end of the school year. You’ll provide instruction and support for a caseload of 10–12 students, ensuring individualized learning and growth.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid Virginia Special Education – General Curriculum Teaching Certification.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students (grades 3–5) strongly preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom culture.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging instruction and interventions tailored to each student’s needs.
• Write and update IEPs, track student progress, and communicate with families and team members.
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Work closely with support staff and other teachers to ensure student success.
• Maintain accurate student records and comply with all relevant regulations and policies.

This contract position runs 37.5 hours per week over five days. Your role will be vital in guiding students toward their educational goals within a supportive and collaborative team setting. Compensation for this position is set at a competitive hourly rate of $40, with weekly pay provided to ensure you are paid promptly for your expertise and dedication.
