Job Description
Littleton Eye Care Center | Littleton, New Hampshire

Practice Full-Scope Optometry. Build Lasting Relationships. Love Where You Live.

Littleton Eye Care Center is seeking a full-time Optometrist to join our established, privately owned practice in northern New Hampshire. Whether you’re a new graduate or an experienced OD, this opportunity combines comprehensive patient care, modern technology, dedicated clinical support, and a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekends.

Our practice has served the community for over 80 years, caring for generations of families. We believe in treating patients with the same attention and respect we would want for ourselves. We’re looking for an optometrist who shares that commitment and enjoys providing personalized care across all ages.

The Opportunity:

You’ll provide full-scope primary eye care, including comprehensive examinations, contact lens fittings, and the diagnosis and management of ocular disease. Our practice also offers a broad range of clinical services, including dry eye treatment, specialty contact lenses, low vision, and myopia management, creating opportunities for optometrists with a variety of clinical interests.

Our broad range of services provides flexibility rather than a prescribed clinical model. We encourage each optometrist to shape their practice around their individual strengths, interests, experience, and comfort level. Whether you enjoy comprehensive primary care, ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, dry eye, myopia management, or a combination of these areas, you’ll have the flexibility to focus on the aspects of optometry you find most rewarding.

Each optometrist has a dedicated technician, along with additional shared support for diagnostic testing. Our experienced front desk team and opticians help manage the patient experience and day-to-day workflow, allowing our doctors to focus their time and energy on patient care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform comprehensive eye examinations
  • Diagnose, treat, and manage ocular conditions within your scope of practice.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses
  • Fit, evaluate and prescribe contact lenses
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
  • Provide urgent/emergent office visits
  • Promote healthy vision by counseling and educating patients
  • Maintain detailed patient records regarding diagnosis, treatment plans and progress

What We’re Looking For:

  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree
  • New Hampshire OD license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong sense of workplace professionalism and integrity

New graduates and experienced optometrists are welcome to apply.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Student loan repayment assistance program, details discussed during the interview
  • Health insurance
  • In-house vision benefits.
  • Personal/Sick Time
  • Paid holidays
  • 401(k) eligibility after one year, with a 3% employer contribution regardless of employee contributions
  • Malpractice insurance
  • Licensing renewal fees
  • Continuing education
  • Disability insurance
  • Profit Sharing

Schedule and Locations:

This is a full-time, in-person position with a five-day, Monday–Friday schedule, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and no weekend hours.

Our practice operates offices in Littleton, Woodsville, and Lincoln. Your schedule may include time at more than one office, with the specific days and locations discussed during the hiring process. Participation in the student loan repayment program may require working primarily at the Littleton location.
