Embark on a rewarding opportunity as a temporary school nurse for the spring semester, providing essential healthcare services to a vibrant community of young learners. This contract position, located near Victoria, VA, will have you delivering dedicated nursing care at a primary school, overseeing the well-being of an energetic student body numbering approximately 363. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy environment during regular school hours from 7:30am to 3:00pm, starting February and continuing through May 2027.

Essential skills and attributes for success in this position include:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for the state of Virginia
• Previous experience as a school nurse or in a pediatric care setting preferred
• Strong assessment and triage abilities in evaluating student health complaints
• Exceptional communication skills—able to collaborate with staff, students, and parents
• Adaptability to respond to a wide range of student needs within a school environment
• Proficiency with basic documentation and record-keeping for school health services

In this role, you will:

• Address daily health concerns, administer medications, and manage chronic conditions among students
