Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed General ICU at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized infusions
• Utilize telehealth resources for critical care and pulmonology support in a rural care setting with onsite hospitalist coverage
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and mechanical ventilators in coordination with 24/7 RT staff
• Independently read and interpret telemetry strips and escalate findings appropriately
• Maintain required certifications (BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CRRT) and adhere to unit dress code (Navy Blue scrubs)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in the state of Kansas or compact license eligibility
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and CRRT
• Experience titrating drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, and analgesics
• Ability to independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips
• Must be present in-state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are conducted remotely
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible; valid driver's license required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a rural hospital setting
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms used for critical care and pulmonology consultation
• Experience with self-scheduling and block scheduling environments
• Comfort with floating within a defined zone based on unit needs
