Cable Technician - Now Hiring

Description

The Cable Technician will work with TRI-M Group's teams in new construction commercial environments. The individual will be focused on pulling, testing and terminating Cat 5 Cat 6 and potential fiber. . Most of the work will be conducted in-person from 7 am to 4 pm, This individual must possess excellent customer service skills within TRI-M Group's methods. TRI-M Group is looking for someone with over 3 to 5 years experience as a cable technician. Skills/Education: High school diploma/GED 5 years of pulling cable, punching down cable and connecting cat 5, cat6 and fiber cable. Valid driver's license Computer skills & IT Network experience a plus Excellent oral and written communication skills Interpersonal skills and customer relationship building skills Adapts well to change, flexibility and resilience Excellent time management aptitude and organizational skills Self-starter and independent Proven troubleshooting skills Physical Requirements: Working a minimum of 40 hours/week Lifting weights of 0 to 30 lbs from floor to above shoulders. Vision adequate for computer use and reading. Hearing adequate for phone use. Ability to wear personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses, protected-toe boots, and appropriate gloves for the task. Other equipment on an "as needed" basis may include fall protection, dust mask, respirator, hearing protection, etc. Ability to visit construction job-sites including walking on uneven terrain, occasionally climbing, stooping, squatting and exposure to temperature extremes and the elements to perform site surveys and collect data for project design. Special hazards may include exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and explosive hazards while performing site visits

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
