CNC Lathe Machinist

Job Title: CNC Lathe Machinist Location: Addison, IL Type: Contract To Hire Compensation: Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0

Overview

Responsibilities • Reads process sheets, job folders, blueprints, and work instructions of part to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements. • Maintain job folder integrity. • Repair/adjust set-ups and tooling, troubleshoot nonconforming processes. • Selects and installs preset tooling in machine in sequence specified on process sheet. • Observes numerical displays on control panel and compares with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts. • Inspects first run piece and spot checks succeeding pieces for conformance to specifications. • Studies job packet and organizes materials for next run. • Sets up and operates another machine.

Requirements • No minimum experience specified. • Ability to read process sheets, blueprints, and work instructions. • Capability to set up and operate CNC Lathe Machining Centers. • Strong troubleshooting and inspection skills. • Ability to follow detailed process specifications and organize workflow efficiently.
