Bilingual Engineer II
Location: Hollywood, FL
Position Summary
The Engineer II is responsible for maintaining the resort's facilities, equipment, and mechanical systems to ensure a safe, functional, and exceptional guest experience. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and responds to maintenance requests throughout the property while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hotel equipment and building systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and mechanical systems.
- Complete guest room and public area maintenance requests promptly.
- Inspect facilities to identify maintenance needs and safety concerns.
- Maintain pools, pumps, motors, and other resort equipment as assigned.
- Document completed work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, fire safety, and resort safety standards.
- Assist with emergency maintenance situations and after-hours repairs when necessary.
- Support renovation and capital improvement projects.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Hotel, commercial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
