Supply Chain Planner and Buyer – Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing

Pay Range: $55,000–$70,000 DOE + Robust Benefits
Location: Fort Collins, CO
Position Type: Direct Hire
Hours: M-F, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (flexible start/end times)

How you'll spend your time as a Supply Chain Planner and Buyer:

• Manage outside-processing orders from quote through receipt.
• Build realistic schedules by working backward from customer due dates.
• Obtain quotes and negotiate price, lead time, and capacity with processors.
• Issue, track, and close purchase orders for outside-processing services.
• Coordinate freight and part transfers between plants and suppliers.
• Follow up with suppliers early to catch delays before dates are missed.
• Keep ERP purchase orders, dates, and status records accurate and current.
• Give Operations and customer teams clear job and shipment updates.
• Partner with Quality on certifications, traceability, and approved sources.
• Track supplier performance and improve handoffs that cause delays.

Skills & experience we'd like you to have as a Supply Chain Planner and Buyer:

• 3+ years of manufacturing purchasing, planning, or scheduling experience.
• Degreed, sharp, and motivated recent grads will also be considered.
• Working knowledge of machining workflows and secondary operations.
• Ability to read job travelers, process notes, and drawings.
• Experience issuing purchase orders and negotiating supplier commitments.
• Practical ERP/MRP knowledge and strong Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize by customer impact and schedule risk.
• Aerospace/defense or AS9100 experience preferred.
• Outside processing knowledge (anodizing, plating, heat treat) is a plus.
• APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to ITAR requirements.
