Responsibilities
- Design and develop precision wind tunnel test models using advanced 3D CAD software, such as Siemens NX.
- Conduct structural analysis to ensure design integrity and functionality.
- Collaborate with a team of experts to refine models for optimal performance.
- Implement detailed design specifications for aerospace applications while adhering to stringent industry standards.
- Contribute to the design and fabrication of models used in dynamic aerodynamic testing and certification processes.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably within the aerospace or aircraft industry.
- Proficiency in 3D design using Siemens NX or comparable software.
- Strong foundation in structural analysis.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident due to ITAR regulations.
- DoD clearance is desirable.
- Familiarity with wind tunnel model design, test fixtures, precision mechanisms, or machined-metal structural part design is advantageous.
- Competitive hourly rate of $40.00–$50.00, equivalent to an annual base of approximately $83,200–$104,000.
