The impact you’ll make

You’ll be the quality conscience for outside plant builds—auditing completed HFC and fiber jobs, guiding contractors toward corrective actions, and confirming that rework hits the mark. You’ll juggle multiple assignments, shift seamlessly between field inspections and remote documentation, and keep projects moving with clear, timely communication.

What the role looks like

• Perform quality audits across the assigned territory for completed telecom construction.
• Inspect outside plant infrastructure and verify compliance with engineering and quality expectations.
• Document deficiencies, communicate fixes, and verify that rework is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Close out audits with thorough documentation and organized records.
• Use Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, and P2 to track progress, report results, and coordinate work.
• Participate in Teams meetings and collaborate directly with contractors and business partners.
• Stay available during standard business hours to help troubleshoot and clear inspections.

What you bring

• Experience in both coax (HFC) and fiber construction within telecom.
• OSP, broadband, cable, or telecom construction background.
• Ability to interpret telecom construction/design prints with precision.
• Solid Microsoft Office skills and strong written/verbal communication.
• Self-motivation and comfort working independently across multiple sites.
• Reliable personal transportation and willingness to travel, including overnights when needed.

Bonus points

• Network Maintenance Technician experience.
• Prior telecom QA inspection or field audit work.
• Experience partnering with telecom contractors and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet and P2.

Travel & work style

• Frequent travel around the Miami, FL territory; some sites 3–4 hours away.
• Overnight travel may be required (Client provides hotel accommodations).
• Mileage reimbursement provided; reliable personal vehicle is required.
• Work mix: ~80% field audits, ~20% remote administrative wrap-up from your home office.
• Fast-changing assignments—adapt quickly, communicate consistently, and work autonomously within a dispersed team.
