Shift: Day | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5x7.5 hours, 37.5 hours/week | 30-minute unpaid lunch | No rotation

Local: $2,000–$2,100/week
Traveler: $2,200–$2,400/week

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures in an outpatient oncology/cancer center setting serving adult and geriatric patients.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
Current New York State Department of Health Nuclear Medicine license.
Current NMTCB certification.
Experience working with adult and geriatric patients.
Experience in both adult outpatient clinic and hospital settings.
Demonstrated experience performing PET imaging.
Previous experience with Siemens PET/CT equipment, preferably Siemens Biograph systems.
Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and radiation safety.
Experience starting and maintaining IVs.
Knowledge of isolation precautions and appropriate PPE use.
Demonstrated ability to safely handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials.
Strong communication, organizational, and patient-care skills.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Preferred Qualifications
ARRT (N) certification.
ARRT (PET) certification.
Previous Charge Technologist or lead technologist experience.
Experience in an oncology-focused nuclear medicine or PET/CT department.
Experience with theranostic procedures.
Previous experience administering Pluvicto injections.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures safely and accurately.
Prepare patients for nuclear medicine and PET/CT examinations.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols and safety standards.
Start and maintain peripheral IV access as required.
Perform PET imaging using Siemens Biograph Vision PET/CT equipment.
Prepare and handle radioactive materials in accordance with departmental, state, and federal radiation safety requirements.
Follow proper procedures for the storage, handling, transportation, and disposal of radioactive materials.
Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures and promptly report adverse reactions or concerns.
Follow isolation precautions and use appropriate PPE.
Verify patient identification, orders, medications, and imaging protocols before procedures.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in NMIS/Pinestar and Epic.
Utilize Omnicell for medication and supply management as required.
Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, technologists, and other members of the multidisciplinary oncology team.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.
Perform quality-control checks and report equipment issues appropriately.
Follow departmental policies, NY State regulations, radiation safety standards, and facility protocols.
Support efficient patient flow while maintaining high standards of patient care and imaging quality.
Assist with specialized theranostic procedures, including Pluvicto administration, when qualified and authorized.
