Customer Support Specialist

Pay: $20.00$22.00 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Customer Support Specialist to serve as a primary point of contact between customers and internal teams. This position manages customer orders, provides updates, and helps ensure accurate and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and quotes within the ERP system.

• Manage a high-volume shared email inbox and respond to customer inquiries and requests.

• Enter and confirm orders within customer SAP systems.

• Generate and send order confirmations.

• Track open orders and communicate shipment updates, backorders, delays, and delivery schedules.

• Update order information in E2 and customer SAP systems.

• Coordinate with production, engineering, quality, and shipping teams to meet customer requirements and delivery commitments.

• Serve as a liaison between customers and internal departments to resolve issues and provide timely follow-up.

• Create and maintain customer profiles, product information, contacts, tax certificates, and quotes in QuickBooks and E2.

• Assist with customer meetings and provide order status information as needed.

• Follow safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills.

• Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

• Experience with ERP systems, SAP, E2, or QuickBooks is a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods, walk through a production facility, and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
