This community-based acute care hospital provides emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and diagnostic services to residents of the surrounding community and neighboring areas. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and appropriate resources to support quality emergency care delivery across day and night shift coverage periods. Infrastructure is in place to accommodate locum tenens clinicians during assigned shifts.

Louisiana offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of cultural, culinary, and outdoor attractions suited to varied interests. The state is known for its distinct regional cuisine, live music venues, and festivals celebrated throughout the year, as well as natural landscapes including bayous, marshlands, and wildlife refuges that support fishing, boating, and wildlife viewing. Historical sites, art museums, and performing arts venues are distributed across the state, providing diverse options for leisure during time away from clinical duties.

The Emergency Medicine Physician will provide locum tenens clinical coverage during day and night shifts at this on-site emergency department, evaluating and treating a variety of acute and emergent conditions across all age groups. Clinicians will perform procedures including moderate and deep sedation throughout each assigned shift. The physician will supervise advanced practice clinicians and must hold an active state supervising physician license to fulfill this requirement. Prescriptive authority is required for this assignment.
