Shipping Clerk

Valley Industries is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to support our shipping and logistics operations for our Paynesville Minnesota location. The Shipping Clerk plays a key role in ensuring customer orders are accurately processed, packaged, and shipped on time. This position works closely with warehouse, production, and customer service teams to maintain efficient product flow and deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and process customer orders for shipment.
• Verify product quantities, part numbers, and shipping information for accuracy.
• Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, packing slips, and other required documentation.
• Coordinate shipments with carriers and schedule pickups as needed.
• Load, unload, and move materials using forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate shipping, inventory, and transportation records.
• Inspect shipments for damage and resolve discrepancies before shipment.
• Communicate shipment status and delivery information with internal departments.
• Follow all company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
• Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse functions as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous shipping, warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills with the ability to learn shipping and inventory software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to work in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
