Job Description:
Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health opportunity at our Behavioral Health Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network with facilities coast to coast. This is a full-time position with Nights and Days available, and there are 5 openings.
You'll use your specialized plan-of-care interventions and act as a patient-care innovator, shaping patient journeys every day. The role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a stressful environment, taking appropriate action when needed.
Responsibilities include assessing patients and planning care within set timeframes, documenting findings according to policy, and performing comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients. The RN will oversee and supervise the shift, delegate tasks such as groups, close observation, and meal supervision, and oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is delivered consistently. The RN also monitors patients for changes in condition and responds accordingly, up to and including notification of the physician, follows hospital policy for medication administration, and uses empathy, dignity, and respect in every patient interaction. The role delivers quality nursing care so the goals of each treatment plan are properly executed under hospital policies and procedures.
