The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organization in Lawrence, MA, to recruit an Geriatric Primary Care Administrative Coordinator to serve as a welcoming first point of contact for patients and caregivers while helping keep daily practice operations running smoothly.

In this role, you’ll support scheduling, care coordination, preventive-care follow-up, and accurate documentation, allowing our clinicians to focus on what matters most—providing high-quality, compassionate care to older adults.

What You’ll Do

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and confirm wellness visits, follow-ups, home visits, and transition-of-care appointments
  • Make reminder calls and send electronic notifications
  • Coordinate specialty referrals and help ensure timely appointments
  • Assist patients and caregivers with patient portal navigation
  • Monitor preventive-care gaps, including screenings and immunizations
  • Proactively outreach to patients to help close care gaps
  • Track risk-adjustment diagnoses and flag follow-up needs for the clinical team
  • Welcome patients, answer calls, and respond to inquiries with professionalism
  • Relay messages promptly and support a positive patient experience
  • Verify insurance and review intake paperwork
  • Administer patient screening questionnaires
  • Scan and accurately index labs, consult notes, and hospital or ED reports into the EHR
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records
  • Support EMR document management and efficient patient flow
  • Coordinate with clinicians, medical assistants, and care coordinators
  • Assist with meeting coordination, note-taking, and follow-up tasks
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to keep practice operations running smoothly

What We Are Looking For

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Medical assistant training or certification preferred
  • Previous medical office or healthcare experience required
  • Geriatric care experience strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems

Additional Skills and Attributes

  • Strong organization, accuracy, and follow-through
  • Excellent and compassionate communication skills
  • Empathy and patience when working with older adults and caregivers
  • Understanding of primary care, preventive care, and basic insurance processes or willingness to learn
  • Current valid driver’s license
  • Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
