Senior Tax Accountant

A growing tax advisory firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to work directly with clients on a collaborative, client-focused team.

• Full-time, year-round, with overtime during tax season
• $85,000–$110,000, based on experience

• On-site in Neptune, NJ
• Hybrid (3 days on-site, 2 remote)

• Prepare and review complex returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and nonprofits
• Review financial statements and supporting documents for accuracy
• Maintain accurate client records and workpapers

• Research tax issues and help develop tax-planning strategies
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend them to clients
• Respond to IRS and state notices
• Answer client questions and follow up on missing information

• Manage multiple assignments and deadlines during tax season
• Guide and support junior accountants and administrative staff

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3–5 years of recent public-accounting tax experience
• Strong experience preparing individual and business returns
• Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and professionalism

• CPA or EA designation (CPA candidates will be considered)
• UltraTax CS experience
