Compensation: Competitive Salary + Performance-Based Bonus 25-31/HR

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen location in Twentynine Palms, California.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on restaurant leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume QSR environment and enjoys developing teams, driving sales, controlling costs, and creating an outstanding guest experience.

The General Manager will have overall responsibility for the restaurant, including team leadership, P&L performance, labor, food cost, operations, food safety, guest satisfaction, and sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop restaurant team members

• Build a positive, accountable, and performance-driven culture

• Develop managers and future restaurant leaders

• Manage scheduling and appropriate staffing levels

• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback

• Create an environment focused on teamwork and employee engagement

Restaurant Operations

• Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations

• Maintain high standards for food quality, speed of service, cleanliness, and hospitality

• Ensure proper opening and closing procedures

• Monitor restaurant performance throughout each shift

• Maintain equipment, restaurant appearance, and operational standards

• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and execution

Financial Performance

• Take ownership of restaurant-level financial performance

• Manage labor and food costs

• Monitor sales, expenses, and operating results

• Review financial reports and identify opportunities for improvement

• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and ordering practices

• Ensure accurate cash handling and financial reconciliation

• Implement cost-control strategies while protecting the guest experience

Guest Experience

• Maintain high standards for customer service

• Ensure fast, friendly, and accurate service

• Address guest concerns professionally and promptly

• Coach the team on hospitality and service expectations

• Identify opportunities to increase guest satisfaction and repeat business

Food Quality & Safety

• Maintain consistent food quality and preparation standards

• Ensure recipes and operating procedures are followed

• Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation requirements

• Conduct regular restaurant and food safety inspections

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe restaurant environment

Sales & Local Marketing

• Drive restaurant sales and transaction growth

• Execute promotions and local marketing initiatives

• Identify opportunities to grow the business within the local community

• Coach employees on appropriate upselling and sales initiatives

• Monitor sales trends and adjust operational strategies accordingly

What We're Looking For

• Previous General Manager experience in QSR, fast food, fast casual, or restaurant operations

• Strong restaurant leadership and team-development experience

• Experience managing P&L, labor, food cost, inventory, and budgets

• Strong understanding of food safety and restaurant operations

• Ability to recruit, train, coach, and retain employees

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills

• Guest-focused leadership style

• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required

• Reliable transportation or ability to relocate to the Twentynine Palms area
