Physical Therapist – Acute Care | Home Health Experience Required
Physical Therapist – Acute Care
Position Overview
The ideal candidate will have experience working in a large acute care facility and will be a collaborative team player committed to providing exceptional patient care.
PRIOR HOME HEALTH EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. This is a non-negotiable requirement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Evaluate patients and establish individualized plans of care and treatment programs.
Provide appropriate physical therapy interventions.
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and care.
Document patient evaluations, interventions, and progress accurately.
Complete billing documentation appropriately.
Support Lead Clinicians with competency development and implementation.
Participate in the orientation of new staff members.
Serve as a clinical instructor for students.
Exercise independent clinical judgment when treating moderately complex cases.
Work with minimal to no supervision while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience in Acute Care within a large academic medical setting preferred.
Previous successful clinical affiliation with Atlantic Health preferred.
Board Certification as a Specialist in an area appropriate for acute care practice preferred.
Strong clinical judgment and ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Education & Licensing:
New Jersey Physical Therapy License required.
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy academic program required.
1–4 years of Physical Therapist experience strongly preferred.
Prior Home Health Physical Therapy experience REQUIRED.
